Summer Stewards
Help to water saplings this summer at a community park near you!
Live oak, cotton woods and other plants planted in this past winter and spring need a little help to get through a hot summer. Join us for watering days at Locke-Paddon Park in Marina, Havana Soliz Park in Seaside, and Upper Carr Lake in Salinas. Watering at each site takes about 2- 2.5 hours depending on how many people are helping, and involves carrying half buckets full of water approximately 200 feet. Depending on interest and site there may be other small projects as well.
