Students in Dr. Natalie Zayas' Introduction to Environmental Science class study sand crab population density working in conjunction with LiMPETS. Students get into the field during the second week of class to apply what they have learned about how science works, reinforce ecology concepts such as indicator species and bioaccumulation they have studied in class, graph the data they gather, and apply critical thinking skills by analyzing the data.
