Vanessa has worked in the field of higher education for over six years with experience as a Career Advisor and Academic Advisor for a vocational institution in Southern California; supporting students in majors such as Business, Information Technology, and Media Arts. She has experience supporting students in the community college system as a Pathways Success Coach, supporting student athletes at Pasadena City College and general students at Chaffey College, where she fostered student success by providing access to campus resources. She identifies as a first-generation college graduate, a member of the Latinx community, and part of the LGBTQIA+ community. She values health and wellness, and enjoys taking part of outdoor activities in her spare time. She is also a Dodger fan and bleeds blue.
