School of Computing and Design
Summer Camp
The School of Computing and Design plans to offer a Design and Coding Summer Camp for the students who are interested in becoming a digital artist or a computer scientist in the future. The camp details are below:
- The camp will meet four days a week starting on June 5 and ending on June 29. Sign up to register.
- Classes start at 9:00am and end at 1:00pm each camp day. Campers will have lunch in the Dining Commons at CSUMB between 12:20-1:00pm, and can leave afterward.
- Dr. Amir Attia, Prof. Katie Green, Dr. Miguel Lara and Dr. Shahidul Islam will each teach a week of camp sessions.
- The first two weeks will focus on design, and the second two weeks will move into coding. The final project will apply what is produced during the first two weeks to create a functioning Web product at the end.
- Students can sign up for the first two weeks of the design camp portion or for the entire four weeks of the camp to learn design tools, design principles, user interface design, coding for Web development and Python programming.
- The camp charges $400 in total for the 4-week camp or $200 for the first two weeks. Please register and our staff will follow up with you upon receiving your registration.
- Seats are limited to 30, and it is first come first serve as long as your current grade is 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th.
