Academic Advising

Supports students with creating educational plans, identifying transfer courses from community colleges, choosing classes, understanding the prerequisites for majors, matching majors to careers; and selecting appropriate courses depending on ELM/EPT scores, prior academic success, and/or class standing; and declaring & updating majors.

Associated Students (student government)

Empowers and represents students in all areas of concern by upholding our university’s commitment to its Vision Statement, while sustaining an active role in the decisions, actions, and affairs of our university through advocacy and equitable governance.

Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT)

The Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) serves as the centralized campus team for discussion and coordinated action regarding reports of disruptive, problematic, or concerning behavior or misconduct from co-workers, students, community members, friends, colleagues, etc.

Upon receipt, the Team reviews the report, assesses the threat, and determines the best referrals for support, intervention, warning/notification, and response.

Campus Health Center

Provides urgent, primary, and ancillary care, and referral services to students, faculty, staff, their dependents, and guests of the CSUMB community.

Career Development

Prepares students to make informed decisions about their futures by providing resources, programs, and counseling on career development, internships, employment, and graduate school.

Care Team

Meets weekly to identify potential students in crisis and concerns within the university community that may impact student well-being in order to generate awareness and plan collaborative responses.

Chaplaincy & Spiritual Support

Provides service through spiritual support to students, faculty, and staff of CSUMB.

Child Care Center

Provides quality, licensed, affordable childcare to the campus community.

Cooperative Learning Center

Provides high-quality learning assistance in computer technology, math, science, writing, languages, and study strategies aimed at meeting a variety of learning needs at all ability levels.

Emotionally Distressed Students: How to Help

Resources for helping faculty identify and respond productively and effectively to students exhibited mild to severe distressed or disruptive behavior in our outside the classroom.

Inclusive Excellence Office

Advances excellence at CSUMB through inclusion and equity.

Judicial Affairs / Student Conduct

Enforces student conduct policies and addresses student behavioral issues, utilizing methods that are consistent with the University's goal of providing students with learning experiences.

Otter Cross Cultural Center

Provides CSUMB with resources, a safe space, and opportunities to engage in diversity, cross-culturalism, and social justice!

Personal Growth & Counseling Center

Supports the academic, personal, social, spiritual, and physical development of the whole person.

P.O.W.E.R. Peer education (promoting otter wellness through education and resources)

Provides primary prevention education and health promotion to foster academic success and well being.

Sexual Discrimination, Harassment, and Assault (Title IX)

Protects all people regardless of their gender or gender identity from sex discrimination, which includes sexual harassment and sexual violence.
