School of Computing and Design
Dr. Byun received his Ph.D. degree in computer and information science and engineering from the University of Florida in 2003. Between 1993 and 1998, he worked for the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Daejeon, South Korea, as a member of research staff. He is a Professor in the School of Computing and Design at the California State University - Monterey Bay. Before joining to CSUMB, he was a faculty member at the Pennsylvania State University at Erie, PA. His research areas include network performance measurement, design patterns for communication systems, software analysis and verification, software development environments and tools, and real-time systems.
