new program: mae + credential

The MAE + Credential Program allows students to earn a Masters degree while completing their Multiple or Single Subjects Credential. Applications for this will open December 1st.

Scholarship funds will be available. Please complete the interest form and we will contact you with more details.

The School of Education offers a teacher preparation (credential) program for those desiring to become elementary teachers (K-8), course work for those preparing to be secondary (high school) teachers or special education teachers, and graduate level course work leading to master's degrees and certificates.

Our programs are accredited at both the state and national levels and are accessible full time and part time using face to face and online/hybrid classes.

Multiple Subject (elementary) Credential

The Multiple Subject Credential Program is designed for those interested in teaching in culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms (grades K-8).

Single Subject (High School) Credential 

The Single Subject Credential Program is designed for those interested in teaching in diverse high school classrooms (grades 7-12).

Special Education Credential 

The Special Education Program prepares professionals to teach students with disabilities and their families.

Internship Pathway (Ctip) 

CSUMB's Teacher Intern Pathway (CTIP) allows credential program students to teach and earn a preliminary credential at the same time.

AB2086 requires all teacher preparation programs to provide information, as specified, to prospective candidates regarding the license examination passage rates for the most recent available year. To comply with this requirement, CSUMB pass rate data can be viewed here.
