The MA + Credential Program allows students to earn a Masters degree while completing their Elementary Education (Multiple Subject) or Secondary Education (Single Subject) Credential. To learn more check out our MAE + Credential Site.

The Department of Education and Leadership offers a teacher preparation (credential) program for those desiring to become elementary teachers (K-8), course work for those preparing to be secondary (high school) teachers or special education teachers, and graduate level course work leading to master's degrees and certificates.

Our programs are accredited at the state level and are accessible full time and part time using face to face and on-line/hybrid classes.

AB2086 requires all teacher preparation programs to provide information, as specified, to prospective candidates regarding the license examination passage rates for the most recent available year. To comply with this requirement, CSUMB pass rate data can be viewed via the CTC dashboard lookup . The most current Annual Report for the state can be found here (Teacher Supply Report, 19-20).
