CSUMB earns membership in coalition to support first-generation students

CSUMB has earned inclusion into the 2021-22 First-gen Forward cohort of higher education institutions by the Center for First-generation Student Success.

Last year, when COVID-19 began to spread across the country, eventually encroaching into Monterey County, it shut down public gatherings, including concert performances. Live music has been almost entirely absent from our cultural landscape since.

Students and staff recognized by NAACP for supporting POC

The partnership between the Monterey County chapter of the NAACP and CSUMB celebrated its 10th anniversary by honoring community leaders and social justice advocates. Three CSUMB students received awards in the Youth Black Excellence category, and two employees received African American Advocate and Champion awards.

CSUMB’s hospitality management program ranked among nations top programs

CSUMB landed among Study.com’s top schools in their rankings of the nation’s best 4-year hospitality management bachelor degree programs.
