Two CSUMB Marine Science Students Receive NOAA Scholarships

SEASIDE, Calif., August 28, 2019 -- Two CSUMB Marine Science students have been selected to receive scholarships from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The scholarship recipients, Jezella Peraza and Jason Gronich, were the only students selected from across the California State University system receive these awards.

CSUMB Welcomes Students Back to Campus, Kicks Off 25th Year

SEASIDE, Calif., August 23, 2019 – California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) began welcoming students back to campus today, officially kicking off CSUMB’s 25th anniversary year. Classes begin on Monday, August 26, but all incoming, first-year students are required to attend a weekend long orientation called “Otter Days,” starting Friday, August 23.

Professor Ryce Receives Monterey County Peace Award

SEASIDE, Ca., August 6, 2019 – California State University, Monterey Bay’s (CSUMB) Director of the Salinas Center for Arts and Culture, and Cinematic Arts and Technology Professor Enid Ryce was awarded the 2019 Monterey County Peace Award today by Monterey County Supervisor, Luis Alejo. Ryce was presented the award during National Night Out at Hebbron Family Center in Salinas along with Alma y Tradicion Ballet Floklorico and Hijos Del Sol, who also received the award.
