Miguel Tayag | Alexander Ventura | Ricardo Alire | Dylan Renn

The eSports Lounge management solution uses a mock virtual network to show how a host can keep track of what programs and process are running for a network group. That data is then sent to our website that will help track what's being used and which computers are being used for easy management of a group of computers.

Our senior project involved updating an already existing comprehensive marine science expeditions database web app in the form of a greenfield project with an emphasis on utilizing a modern tech stack. We used cutting-edge technologies and leveraged the power of Spring Boot, TypeScript, Java, and SQL. We developed a robust full-stack application capable of creating, updating, and retrieving vital information related to marine science expeditions. The user-friendly interface of our application facilitates seamless data entry and retrieval, streamlining the recording process for various expedition details. This project not only showcases our proficiency in full-stack development but also addresses a critical need within the field of marine science, providing a valuable tool for researchers and enthusiasts alike.

MBARI Expedition Database Modernization

Yuki Okamoto | Jose Flores | Dylan Masters | Andre Moreno

capstone fall 23 group 8B

The MBARI Expedition Database is a mission critical tool that logs data about the organization's expeditions. The current program is near the end of its life and costs $25,000 a year in legacy software support. Our goal is to rebuild the database and web app from the ground up with a modern software stack. This will free up financial resources for MBARI as well as give them a smoother interface both for using and updating the application. This work will ensure MBARI has access to this critical tool for years to come.
