While academic performance is a cornerstone of the college experience, a transformative college experience involves relationship building through experiential opportunities and with campus support resources. Here are some campus support resources to thrive in college:

Support Resources:

Advising, Career and Student Success

The Center for Advising, Career and Student Success helps students understand academic requirements, provide assistance in choosing a career, and offer resources and skill development when academic difficulties arise.

Cooperative Learning Center

The Cooperative Learning Center engages a community of diverse learners in peer-to-peer collaboration to develop study skills, habits of mind, and knowledge essential for interdisciplinary learning.

Educational Pathway Advisor

Internship experiences provide hands-on learning, allowing students to apply knowledge gained in the classroom in real-world settings. Internship experiences offer:

  • exposure to industry practices
  • clarify career goals
  • and often lead to job opportunities

Students that experience an internship within their field of study gain a competitive edge in the workforce. Students seeking internship exploration guidance, can schedule an appointment with their Educational Pathway Advisor.

Engineering Club

The Engineering Club launched fall 2024, and is focused on bringing people together to create a good community for people interested in engineering.

Personal Growth and Counseling Center

Our philosophy is to value the self-worth of each individual, respect and embrace human diversity, and provide services that aid in the development of healthy behaviors necessary for success. Services provided:

  • 24/7 crisis intervention
  • Brief individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Mental health and wellness workshops
  • Consultation, referrals, and case management

Student Disability and Accessibility Center (SDAC)

SDAC assists students with gaining access to university programs and services such as accommodations for academic courses, housing and a variety of assistive technologies.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC)

UROC pairs undergraduate students who are interested in conducting research and ultimately applying to graduate school (Master or PhD) with a faculty mentor closely related to the students’ academic interests. To further prepare them for life beyond their undergraduate education, students engage in professional experiences, such as the presentation of their research at professional conferences and the publication of their work in peer-reviewed journals.
