Our Mission
The CSUMB campus sits at the heart of the Monterey Bay, one of the best living laboratories in the world for marine science. The Department of Marine Science (established in July 2019) is committed to honoring that location by providing students with a compelling, multifaceted educational experience while conducting the scientific research necessary to address society's most pressing environmental concerns.
