Sara Assaad, M.A.

Sara is a cis-gendered, first-generation, Middle Eastern female from San Diego, CA. Her pronouns are she/her/hers. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching TV and movies, painting, and playing basketball! 

She joined the Personal Growth and Counseling Center in Fall 2022 as a psychology intern. Sara is passionate about working with the college-aged population on issues surrounding depression, anxiety, stress, and co-occurring disorders. Sara takes a multicultural, trauma-informed, and person-focused approach to her work. She has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in various settings, including psychiatric hospitals, low-income vocational training sites, and substance use treatment facilities. 

Sara received her B.A. degree in Psychology and minor in Business Administration from Seattle Pacific University in 2019, and completed her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University in 2021. She is currently a doctoral candidate at CSPP and will be completing her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology in May of 2023.
