UROC welcomes a new cohort of Scholars!
The UROC Scholars program is geared towards students who want to pursue a researched based graduate degree after graduating from CSUMB. This year, UROC accepted fourteen new Scholars who will start their search for summer research placements over winter break. All UROC Scholars are paired with a faculty mentor, who guides them through the research process and aids in finding and applying to graduate programs. This program would not be possible without the support of CSUMB faculty as they serve as experts in their respective fields and are invaluable to both our Scholars and UROC.
Nested in the UROC Scholars program is the McNair Scholars program. A subset of UROC Scholars who meet the necessary requirements, are invited to the McNair program as well. The McNair Scholars Program’s ultimate goal is to diversify the faculty at colleges and universities across the country.
We are excited to start this journey with fourteen new students and cannot wait to see their successes!
