Pre-Service Courses
Secondary (Single Subject) Preservice
The 120 clock hour (or the semester or quarter unit equivalent) pre-service requirement is met by completion of the following summer coursework:
- ED 510 - Providing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports in the Classroom
- ED 607 - Adolescent Development and Learning
- ED 628 - (EL course) Secondary Pedagogy for Linguistic Diversity
Elementary (Multiple Subject) Preservice:
The 120 clock hour (or the semester or quarter unit equivalent) pre-service requirement is met by completion of the following summer coursework:
- ED 510 - Providing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports in the Classroom
- ED 611 - Teaching and Learning
- ED 612 - (EL) Pedagogy for Linguistic Diversity
- ED 550 Health and PE Methods
Special Education (Ed Specialist) Preservice:
SPED 550 - Foundations/Practices for Education Specialists
Plus 2 courses in the SPED program: SPED 560 and SPED 568. Other options are available. Contact the Program Coordinator, Josh Harrower, for more information.
