Sustainable Ecotourism Management
The Sustainable Ecotourism Management concentration seeks to provide students with knowledge and skills related to management issues and implications of sustainability on ecotourism businesses.
At the heart of this concentration is the concept of responsible travel, or travel to natural areas where environmental conservation often improves the well being of local people while dealing with issues of environmental and societal ethics and equity.
Students will learn about green guidelines for operating a successful ecotourism business, green certifications, and the specific economic and operational challenges and needs of eco-tourists and the communities they visit.
