Ecotourism Adventure in Costa Rica

The Sustainable Hospitality Management Program in collaboration with tour leaders at Maximo Nivel travel to Costa Rica toexperience Ecotourism in one of the most incredible exemplary models in the world. Site visits include professional meetings and tours, educational activities, and leisure time to experience the beauty of the Costa Rican natural wonders and live the experience of a lifetime!

Estimated Fees

  • Education Abroad application fee (non-refundable)- $70
  • Education Abroad fee- $250
  • Mandatory health insurance- $75
  • Airfare- Airfare will have to be purchased separately by you after you have received confirmation that your application has been approved. Cost varies by departure location and date of purchase.
  • Meals- Cost varies. Plan to purchase lunch, dinner, and snacks (breakfast included in program fee)
  • Personal expenses

    The application process will require you to enter your passport number and scanned copy, or proof/receipt of a new passport application. if you do not have a passport yet, please apply for it ASAP, as it could take about 4-6 weeks to obtain a new passport.

    After you submit your application (Pre-acceptance), you will receive a notification by CSUMB International Programs once your application has been approved. Once your application is approved, a program fee will be placed on your student account, and you will be able to pay the fee and purchase airfare at any time. If after your application has been accepted, you decide to withdraw from the program, cancellation policy applies as follows: If you withdraw from the program after the November deadline, 50% of the program fee will be refunded. If withdrawal occurs after December deadline, 0% of the program fee will be refunded. In order to have your application approved, as soon as you submit your application, please send an email to Dr. Roberta Atzori at ratzori@csumb.edu in which you confirm that you understand and you are in agreement with the cancellation policy.
