UROC Scholar Presents at the Hispanic Student Leadership Summit
On May 11, 2018, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) partnered with Google to co-host a Hispanic Student Leadership Summit in Mountain View, CA. The Summit was created as an effort to bring together student leaders from Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) and other universities to share innovative and creative best practices, as well as collaborate with Google’s Hispanic leadership to benefit their university and community.
Ulises Dueña, a UROC Scholar presented at the Summit about his work in planning the 3rd Annual LATINX LGBTQ Film Festival, the importance of pronouns and the LGBTQ+ community as a whole.
