How to apply

Submit your application online through Cal State Apply. Please note that a non-refundable $70 application fee is required.

As part of the application, you will also need to submit:

• Provide a portfolio showcasing your strongest work
• A statement of purpose
• Your official transcripts
• Three letters of recommendation

Important dates

• October 1, 2026: Applications open for the 2027–2028 academic year
• November 30, 2026: Priority application deadline
• February 15, 2027: Final application deadline for 2027–2028 admission
• April 2027: Applicants are notified of their admission decisions
• September 2027: Classes begin
