When Does the Spring 2026 Application Open?
Application Opens: October 6, 2025, at 11 a.m.
Your application is the first step to joining life on campus and shows us you’re ready to experience our amazing community. We’ll do our best to find you a space on campus, though housing assignments cannot be guaranteed. To make things easier, we’ve put together an application guide to help you complete your application quickly and with confidence:

In order to apply for housing, you must first confirm your enrollment. Become an official Otter by making your $100 deposit. Learn more on how to Confirm Your Enrollment.

To secure your housing, open the New Resident Application and submit your $200 reservation fee. This includes a $50 non-refundable application fee and a $150 prepayment.

How can I indicate my preferences for room type and roommates?
In the application, you can choose your preferred room type and roommates. Preferences are not guaranteed, but we’ll do our best to accommodate them based on availability.I’m a new student and cannot access my MyHousing Dashboard. What should I do?
If you are newly admitted and receive an error when accessing your MyHousing Dashboard, it may take up to 48 hours after receiving your CSUMB credentials for the system to update and grant access.Why is the New Student Application not showing up in my MyHousing Dashboard?
The New Student Application may take up to 7-10 business days to become available after your enrollment confirmation fee has been processed. If you still cannot access it after this time, please contact Admissions to confirm that your enrollment confirmation fee has been successfully processed.
