Tom Grant of SAS from Virgina conducted the workshop in the Data Analytics lab of the Business and Information Technology (BIT) building for both morning and afternoon sessions.

The morning session was on SAS Visual Analytics Primer: Visualization-Oriented Exploration using SAS Viya Learners. The afternoon session gave attendees the opportunity to practice hands-on using the SAS Viya platform, a cloud-based analytics interface with advanced capabilities. Post-event survey responses to Dr. Sumadhur Shakya suggest most attendees found the event helpful in learning and expressed interest in attending such an event in the future, such as on text analytics.

Attendees enjoyed the lunch boxes the Dean, College of Business, Dr. Marylou Shockley, provided.
