We congratulate the 2022 College of Business Dean's Medalist, Miranda Sampson, and all 80 College of Business students recognized for achieving Academic Honors at this year's ceremony.

College of Business Dean's Medalist

Miranda Sampson

The College of Business Dean's Medalist was Miranda Sampson, a Business Administration student graduating Summa Cum Laude with a concentration in Agribusiness. In addition to her excellent academic achievement, Ms. Sampson demonstrated exemplary leadership skills as President of the Agribusiness Club, held an internship with Tanimura and Antle, and received the Outstanding Future Alumni Award.

"Receiving the Dean's Medal for the College of Business is the perfect ending to my journey here at CSUMB. To be recognized by the College of Business as an outstanding student just feels so fulfilling. It is a wonderful feeling to know that the steps I took to stand out in a classroom setting, as well as in professional settings, paid off. As a transfer student, I was worried about making connections and getting involved with the school in a virtual setting, but I think the staff and faculty here at CSUMB really made a difference and allowed me to reach my full potential. Thank you to Karlee Posteher, Maj-Britt Kimm, and Jill Hosmer-Jolley for being amazing professors that I was able to connect with during my first semester here. Thank you Susan Harker for running the Diamond Key Professional Development Program and making it possible to learn so many valuable professional skills. Finally, thank you Scott Fausti for allowing me to grow within the Agribusiness Club and for getting me connected with professionals from the Agriculture industry. I owe my success to these amazing people, as well as all my other professors and supporters." – Miranda Sampson

Congratulations, Miranda!
