The College of Business at Cal State Monterey Bay (CSUMB) hosted the HACU Internship Information Session on the first of October, drawing an impressive crowd of 93 students eager to learn about the opportunities available through the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) National Internship Program (HNIP). The event was a huge success, offering valuable insights into paid internships, housing options, travel opportunities, and application tips. Students left feeling empowered and inspired to explore these incredible career opportunities.

The session was further enriched by the participation of students from Hartnell College and Monterey Peninsula College (MPC), whose presence added to the diversity and engagement of the event.

Special Thanks to Guest Speakers

Andres Burgos, Associate Director of HNIP, delivered an engaging presentation that resonated deeply with attendees. His thoughtful encouragement and expert insights provided the inspiration students needed to pursue internships through HACU, showcasing the far-reaching impact of these opportunities.

Citlalli Solorio, a College of Business alumna and current USDA marketing intern, bravely shared her personal experience, illustrating how students can follow in her footsteps. Her story offered a real-life example of the benefits and growth potential these internships offer.
