Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii with Eric Crandall

Dr. Eric Crandall participated in a Bioassessment of Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii, together with scientists from the Smithsonian Institution, Florida Museum of Natural History, the Bishop Museum and the University of Hawaii. The bioassessment was conducted with funding from the Tennenbaum Marine Observatories network. The goal was to provide a baseline assessment of the marine biodiversity in the bay in advance of anticipated changes in the world's climate. Scientists surveyed the biota with different teams focusing on algae, fishes, macroinvertebrates, meiofauna (tiny invertebrates that live between sand grains), and even bacteria.
