Injury and Illness Prevention Program
The California state regulations require every employer to establish, implement and maintain an effective injury prevention program. We have developed a campus-wide Illness and Injury Prevention Program that outlines the overall plan for University compliance.
Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the University IIPP. Tasks include:
- Periodic work area inspections
- Identifying and correcting unsafe acts and conditions
- Informing employees of unsafe conditions that cannot be immediately corrected
- Accident review/investigation
