MSPA Students Put On Health Fair at First Friday

President Ochoa receives blood pressure check from MSPA student

Salinas, Ca., September 6th, 2019 -- CSUMB's Master of Science Physician Assistant (MSPA) students hosted a free health fair on Friday at the National Steinbeck center in Salinas. During the First Friday event, students facilitated blood pressure checks and gave out educational health materials to community members that visited the table. They performed blood pressure checks on 20 people over the course of 2 hours, socialized with residents over tamales and empanadas, and overall thoroughly enjoyed connecting with their community. To their surprise, the very first person to ask for a blood pressure check was President Ochoa!

A big round of applause to our students for selflessly serving our community and showing off what CSUMB's Masters programs have to offer!
