Special Greetings to the College of Health Sciences and Human Services community!
My name is Gerson Orellana Prudencio, and I am an undergraduate student currently majoring in Social Work with a minor in Business Management. I am from Monterey, California, and I transferred with my Associate's degree in Sociology from Monterey Peninsula College.
I am honored to be your Senator for the academic year of 2025-2026. My initiatives involve working with Associated Students and collaborating with key campus leadership to advocate for students. I serve on multiple committees that ensure transparency and support for all students.
My passion for community has encompassed multiple experiences, which have led me to my current position: Founding Advocacy, Diversity, and Outreach Coordinator at El Centro and Hospice of the Central Coast, as well as a Hospice Volunteer. Lobby Corps member and College Corps Social Media Coordinator.
As your senator, I am committed to providing students with meaningful experiences within the college, serving as your advocate, ensuring accessibility, and transparency. If you have any comments, questions, concerns, or would like to discuss any aspect of your academic experience as a student. In that case, I am here to help, whether it's professional or personal development.
Once again, I am honored and confident that together we can make a difference for our students and the broader community.
