Chris Pratorius Gómez
I am a composer and music educator based in the Monterey Bay area. I've written operas, a harp concerto, two orchestral works and many pieces for solo voice, choir, chamber ensembles and electronic media that have been performed in San Francisco, Istanbul, New York, Guatemala and other spots around the world. As someone who learned how to be a musician in California public colleges and universities, I'm continually excited to mentor and learn from students in my classes. I believe that creativity is within us all, and that the more musical tools we have at our disposal, the freer we are to express ourselves.
