Zero Waste Commencement

This year the Sustainability Office, the Offset Project, and the Commencement Committee are teaming up to make commencement zero waste. This has been an exciting time on Ot-territory as departments and students across campus work in conjunction to meet our goal of zero waste by 2020, and it is a profound statement that the final mark CSUMB will leave on graduating seniors is a green one. Keep an eye out for the zero waste stations which will be available in place of black landfill-only bins at commencement!

Don’t forget: All food items, single use utensils, and dishes can go in the compost. All plastic products labeled 1-7 or that aren’t stretchy are recyclable. All waxless paper is compostable or recyclable, and in Monterey county waxed paper products are recyclable.
