Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) fee requests

The Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) is accepting fee requests at this time.

Completing a request
  1. Read Executive Order 1102 then complete and submit the appropriate forms as instructed.
  2. Obtain approval from all appropriate signing authorities. Submissions without approval are not considered.
  3. Submit proposals by 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 to SFAC Co-chair Christy Underwood. Submissions received after the deadline are not considered.

Student Fee Advisory Committee

The Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) is a group that meets weekly throughout the academic year to review student fee requests, course fee requests and revisions, and funding proposals for an allocation of the Materials, Services and Facilities fee revenue. This committee prepares recommendations on these requests and proposal for the President, as required by Executive Order 1102.

Committee Members

The Student Fee Advisory Committee is a student majority committee. The committee is co-chaired by Christy Underwood, Administrative Services Manager for Student Affairs & Enrollment Services and the Associated Students Vice President of Finance. The remaining members are recommended to the chair based on their diverse perspectives and professional experiences. The 2023-2024 committee members are listed below.

Upon completing a review of all proposals, the SFAC prepares memos that are sent to CSUMB President Vanya Quinoñes. These memos summarize the committee's discussion and provide the committee's recommendations on the proposals. These memos and the president's decision are linked below.

Commitment to Sustainability at CSUMB

For the past several years, the Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) has made it a priority to advocate for the campus's sustainability goals and it is committed to reducing paper waste.

SFAC recognizes that Inclusive Sustainability Plan of 2020, and the core goals stated within. The committee will attempt to follow these established guidelines in making our decisions for allocations of student fees within our purview.
