About the committee

The Student Fee Advisory Committee reviews student fee requests, course fee requests and funding proposals throughout the academic year. The committee meets weekly to evaluate requests and makes recommendations to the president regarding the allocation of Materials, Services and Facilities (MSF) fee revenue, as required by Executive Order 1102.

The Student Fee Advisory Committee is a student-majority committee. The committee is co-chaired by the Director of Administrative Services for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs and the Associated Students Vice President of Finance. The remaining members are selected to provide diverse perspectives and professional experience.

After reviewing all proposals, the Student Fee Advisory Committee prepares recommendation memos for the president that summarize the committee's discussions and funding recommendations.

For the past several years, the Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) has made it a priority to advocate for the campus's sustainability goals and it is committed to reducing paper waste.

SFAC recognizes the Inclusive Sustainability Plan of 2020 and the core goals stated within. The committee will attempt to follow these established guidelines in making our decisions for allocations of student fees within our purview.
