Social & Behavioral Sciences BA

The Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) major is a balanced mix of theory, methods, and application. It encourages students to explore innovative and alternative solutions to human problems using social science and critical-thinking skills, and prepares students for effective and ethical social intervention and advocacy.

Our students seek to influence discussion and affect positive social change through teaching, research, application, and service. Students pursuing the SBS degree choose a social science concentration in which to specialize. Students may also choose to minor in a related field, such as Psychology or Pre-Law.
