How to add or drop a class

Procedures for fall and spring semesters

Adding during first week

You may add classes online during the first week of the semester, if space is available and you meet all enrollment requirements. From your dashboard, log into OASIS and add the course in your Student Center. Students registering for the first time on or after the first day of the semester will be charged a late registration fee.

Adding or dropping after the deadline

To add classes after the add/drop deadline, you will need instructor signature approval, along with the approval of the chair of the program offering the course you wish to add. Submit your signed Add/Drop form to the Office of the Registrar to add classes.

Please note: in order for students to receive financial aid for a class, they must be enrolled in that class by the add/drop deadline.

To request to add classes after the enrollment census date, you will need instructor signature approval, along with the approval of the chair of the program offering the course you wish to add. Submit your signed Late Add Request form to the Office of the Registrar. Your request will be reviewed by the Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, and you will be notified by email of the request status.

Please note: If your request is approved, you will not be enrolled in the requested classes until all fees owed to the University are paid. Fees must be paid within 5 days of approval notification, or you will be required to resubmit your Late Add Request.

To drop classes after the add/drop deadline, complete a Withdrawal Request form.
