Cal State Monterey Bay offers coursework in Game Design and Interactive Media as part of the School of Computing and Design. With courses such as environmental modeling and character design, students can build fundamental skills in 3D modeling using industry-standard tools. These courses include project management, production, and asset management of images, text, sound, animation, and computer code.

To create an exceptional Esports Lounge within the Otter Student Union, where students can come together to celebrate their passion for gaming. We strive to offer an innovative gaming environment, a diverse range of Esports game titles, and a welcoming atmosphere that encourages connecting with others, skill development, and healthy competition. Through our commitment to innovation, community engagement, and fostering the growth of Esports, we aim to be a hub that empowers students to connect, learn, and thrive in the exciting world of competitive gaming.

We aim to support events, tournaments, and educational initiatives to bring the community together, facilitate networking with other institutions, build academic connections, and skill development within the Esports industry.
• Inclusivity: We prioritize diversity and strive to foster an inclusive environment that celebrates the unique perspectives and talents of all individuals within the Esports community here on the CSUMB campus. 
• Excellence: We are dedicated to providing a top-tier gaming experience inclusive of new technology, high-quality facilities, and a wide selection of gaming titles.
