The Otter Esports Lounge is a new gaming facility located in the Otter Student Union (3rd floor). The lounge features 10 high-end gaming PCs that support casual and competitive gaming and a practice facility for CSUMB Esports teams. Whether you’re an avid Esports enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to pass the time, the Otter Esports Lounge is the perfect place for gaming.

  • Dedicated 10gb network with 1gb to each PC
  • Noise-canceling wired HyperX Cloud Core headphones with angled 53mm drivers and crystal clear 10mm microphones
  • HyperX Alloy Origins keyboards with red switches resulting in no resistance while playing
  • USB ports throughout the room for student devices
  • Electrical ports for student laptops
  • TV mounted on the wall to watch streaming events and competitions

Cal State Monterey Bay offers coursework in Game Design and Interactive Media as part of the School of Computing and Design. With courses such as environmental modeling and character design, students can build fundamental skills in 3D modeling using industry-standard tools. These courses include project management, production, and asset management of images, text, sound, animation, and computer code.
