Checking Out of Housing

Plan Your Move-Out

Thank you for being part of our Otter housing community this semester. Whether you’re graduating, studying abroad or moving off campus, we’re here to help make your check-out experience smooth and stress-free.

Please review the information below and complete all required steps before your assigned check-out deadline.

Check-Out Deadline

Residents who are not returning must complete their check-out and return all keys by 12 p.m. (noon) on their assigned check-out day.

  • Keys returned after the deadline may result in an improper checkout fee.
  • Late key returns may also result in additional daily housing charges.

Returning your keys on time helps ensure a successful check-out and prevents avoidable fees.

The check-out deadline for Spring 2026 is May 17, 2026 at 12 p.m.
