Office Hours 8:00AM - 5:00PM

I joined CSUMB in 2021 in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences as the ASC for the department of Social Sciences and Global Studies.  After a year as the ASC, I moved into the CAHSS Dean’s Office as the College Senior Budget Analyst. In this position, my areas of focus are fiscal management of the college’s budget, personnel transactions, curriculum support, workload reporting and general administration. My responsibilities within these areas are to manage the Dean’s Office budget and have oversight of our 6 departmental budgets, all of which include state and non-state funds, general fund accounts, trust funds, cost-recovery, grants and donations. I
provide lead work direction, guidance, analytical and technical support to College staff relative to administrative operations and fiscal matters.

I believe this position suits me well in that I enjoy working with projects that have many moving pieces and believe that my greatest strength with this is my ability to adapt. While I believe it is important to be detail oriented, I strongly believe that taking the time to see the bigger picture is necessary to make important pivots as I move through a process. My curiosity coupled by the ability to see the bigger picture allows me to take time to create new ways and processes for implementation that lead to greater efficiency.

Prior to joining CSUMB, I worked at LanguageLine Solutions for 5 years where I worked in different positions in operations, onboarding, training, and implementation. In my last role as an Implementation Specialist, I had the opportunity to travel to 27 states visiting several healthcare systems to implement interpreting software and provide training on how to properly use an interpreter to effectively communicate with a Limited English Proficient patient. I was able to obtain a great amount of experience with coordinating a project from its early stages and execution, which involved leading a team and ensuring low expenditures of savings during travel and implementation of the product.

A proud first-generation college graduate (Human Services/Management), I am also a certified Life Coach, which helps me in this position with the areas requiring providing direction and communication to others. My hobbies include surfing, hiking, spending time with my kids, attending shows, trying out new places to eat, meditation, yoga, attending spiritual workshops and exercising regularly. I'm passionate about helping others reach their potential whether it's a person or a budget. This also is extended to myself, as I do my best to build my awareness on being a better person and creating a presence within myself to promote an environment of growth and perspective.
