Mission
The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences offers a liberal arts education that fosters critical thinking, creativity, communication, social responsibility, intercultural competence, and lifelong learning. We advance knowledge of the human experience and empower students to thrive in a complex world.
Vision
We aspire to provide local access to a world-class education and serve as a cultural, artistic, and intellectual hub within the community.
Strategic Priorities and Goals
- Strengthen academic programs
- Equip faculty and students with the tools and resources they need to achieve student learning outcomes

- Deliver quality support services to improve student retention and graduation rates
- Enhance opportunities and experiences that prepare students for future academic and professional success

- Promote the well-being, morale, and sense of community for students, faculty, and staff
- Recruit and retain diverse groups of staff, faculty, and student
Committee Members per the Bylaws: One faculty member from each department, one administrative staff representative, and one technical staff representative with the Associate Dean in a non-voting, ex officio role.
