E-Waste

What is E-Waste?

Electronic waste (e-waste) is anything with a cord or battery. For example: Central Processing Units (CPU), monitors, laptops, printers, servers, radios, calculators, DVD players, hard-drives, fans, vacuums, landline phones, and electric pencil sharpeners.

Where do I dispose of E-Waste on campus?

E-waste is collected by Facilities. Any e-waste with a barcode must first be "decommissioned" by property management and sent to IT, where it can be evaluated for potential re-use on campus or have data erased prior to disposal.
