Reservations
Looking to meet with a group, host a conference, create video production for a commercial, or find support for your blended event? Look no further than the Otter Student Union!
The Otter Student Union (OSU) offers CSUMB students, staff, faculty and external clients the opportunity to reserve a variety of spaces for meetings, events, and more. The OSU is an ideal setting for conferences, activities, and special events due to its centralized location on the CSUMB campus, various event amenities, and onsite catering services.
Reservations can be made through MyRaft for recognized student organizations, 25Live for faculty and staff, or through a request directly to the OSU. CSUMB Alumni, Faculty, and Staff are eligible for a discounted affiliate rate for room reservations. Please contact our team for more information.
- Submit a request through MyRaft.
- The respective Council Advisors will approve the event request, and the OSU Operations team will approve the space.
- A SELD/Recreation staff member will review and address any additional requirements, such as contracts, catering, or funding.
- If needed, an OSU staff member will reach out within 24-48 hours to confirm event logistics.
- If anything is needed past the allotted free services for an RSO, a quote will be sent through AdobeSign to a designated member from the student organization and a SELD/Recreation administrator.
- Submit a request through 25Live, and check the space you want.
- OSU staff will be in contact to confirm event logistics within 24-48 hours.
- OSU staff will send a quote for the requested meeting room and/or OSU services via AdobeSign. An account string or check will need to be submitted with a signature.
- OSU staff will send the requestor the OSU Event Guidelines and campus COVID-19 protocols. The requestor will need to review and submit an acknowledgment of the OSU Event Guidelines to confirm the event.
- Email reservations@otterstudentunion.org with your event date, time, and preferred location.
- Complete the UACE event intake form.
- OSU staff will be in contact to confirm event logistics within 24-48 hours.
- OSU staff will send a contract with a quote for the requested meeting room and/or OSU services via AdobeSign. A check will need to be submitted with a signature.
- OSU staff will send the requestor the OSU Event Guidelines and campus COVID-19 protocols. The requestor will need to review and submit an acknowledgment of the OSU Event Guidelines to confirm the event.
To help ensure accessibility in all programs and events at California State University Monterey Bay, the following accessibility statements have been adopted for placement on all publications, program announcements, brochures, and flyers showcased within the Otter Student Union.
The statements should be printed in an easy-to-read font size and placed in a location that is noticeable.

Registration Materials
Registration materials and program announcements, which include bulletins, flyers, brochures, letters, public service announcements, or other materials used to inform the public of the event or program must also include the following statement:
A program may designate a date by which it would like to receive accommodation requests. However, a program may not refuse to provide an accommodation because the request was not made by the designated deadline. The program must try to provide the accommodation.
Events with Meals
If an event includes a meal, the registration materials should include the following statement:
If you have dietary needs, please contact (name, host department) at (phone number and email address).
Note: In lieu of the phone number, a section may be created on the registration form that allows an individual to designate dietary needs.
