Let your inner WITCH shine! Celebrate the beautiful hxstory of drag culture with our Werk Witch Drag show. Werk Witch is an intersectional drag show that encourages drag queens, kings, and non-binary performers to let their brilliance and diva shine bright like a diamond.

We're back, witches!
We are 110% thrilled to be able to provide a face to face competition this year! Our teams have been hard at work to make this show the best yet with all new staging, lights, and sound that we are sure will blow the audience away. The live show will take place on Friday, October 10th at 7pm PST in the OSU Ballroom with the doors opening at 6:30pm.
Registration for both in-person and livestream will go live Friday, October 3rd at 6pm via MyRaft. In-person seating is limited and this event is open to all 18+. Non-CSUMB members wishing to attend need to create a MyRaft account in order to register.

Werk Witch Bootcamp: How to Vogue
Friday, September 12th at 5:00pm
Join us for an evening of ballroom dance in the style of voguing. No prior dance experience is necessary, and all abilities are welcome. Have a blast learning and dancing with our instructor, Keenan. It’s going to be a fun and lively experience!

Werk Witch Bootcamp: Creepy Couture
Friday, September 19th at 12:00 PM
Join us for our final Bookcamp workshop, where we will explore the history of drag costumes. Gain inspiration, tips, and tricks for bringing your drag persona to life. Whether you want to learn the basics of sewing or find a community to collaborate with, join us at Makerspace. Bring your unfinished outfits and sustainable materials to complete your fierce look!
Register to Audition
We are now accepting submissions for our fan-favorite lip sync competition from Cal State Monterey Bay students, faculty, staff, alumni, and our surrounding Monterey Bay community. Please note, you must be 18+ years old to audition.
Submissions will be selected based on:
1. Honoring the drag tradition
2. Creativity
3. Theme (Halloween)
4. Charisma/personality/fierceness

- You must be 18+ years old to audition.
- Auditions should be no longer than 90 seconds long.
- Submitted videos must be filmed landscape style.
- No live singing auditions will be accepted, only lip sync auditions will be considered for participation.
- Please do not share your video after submitting it for consideration. We want the show to be a surprise.
- Call time for the show is 5:00pm on Friday, October 10th, with the live show happening at 7pm.
- All Participants MUST attend a MANDATORY dress rehearsal on Thursday, October 9th, at 5pm PST.
- All Participants must attend a three-event bootcamp to prepare you for your performances. You must attend three hype events where we bring professionals across the area to aid you in preparation for your performance. Please register for the events through MyRaft, feel more than free to bring your friends and chosen family.

Ayumi Please
AyumiPlease is a pan-genre party DJ and event coordinator from Salinas, CA. An activist and community organizer for over 20 years, the main focus of their work is creating and fostering safe and accepting environments for people who identify within the LGBTQ+ spectrum.

Xinistra
From the city of Strawberry Fields Forever aka Watsonville, Xinistra’s drag artistry is rooted in community building and activism. Xinistra is not only a house mother of Haus of Gl’Amour, she is also one of the founding members of Pajaro Valley Pride and to date remains a board member. Xinistra is also part of the Drag Story Time of Santa Cruz county. She’s a Latine bombshell always looking to bring a smile.

Papi Chulo
Papi Churro is an Oakland based, Two-Spirit Drag King and Cultural Preservationist from Coahuiltecan and Nahua-Otomi heritage. When he's not fighting for Indigenous Peoples causes and the world's injustices, he's invoking his Divine Masculine energy and lighting the stages on fire. He's the current reigning 2024 SFDK Drag King Contest Winner, Mx. Mosswood Meltdown and High King Supreme 2023 for Seattle's Emerald City Kings Ball.

Kenya Belove
Kenya Belove is a Biracial Drag artist. Through her drag you can experience anything from top 40 hits, Broadway jams, Disney, and activism through art. She lives in the middle of many queer and ethnic intersection. Bringing her intersectionality’s to the stage to entertain. Through art she hopes that we can be the love we all need.
