It's Black Hxstory Month and BSU is hosting a day where we celebrate and eat African/Caribbean Soul Food at the Dining Commons starting at 5 pm. Those who have a meal plan is only 1 block and those without a meal plan is $10.

The All Black Gala is a formal event and celebration of Black hxstory and the immense diversity of Black culture. Renowned speaker and social media activist, Shaun King, will provide a keynote on civil rights issues today.

Black Students United Screening of "Freedom Riders"

Black Students United will be screening a film based on the civil rights activists who participated in Freedom Rides, bus trips in 1961 meant to protest segregation in the United States.

NAACP at CSUMB Black History Month Meeting
Alumni & Visitors Center | 8:30PM
At this annual meeting, local activists Ruthie Watts and Akin Miller will receive the NAACP@CSUMB African American and Civil Rights Champion Award. We will also recognize newly hired African Heritage faculty and staff as well as those who have left or retired in the last year.
NAACP@CSUMB meetings will be on Tuesdays (7-9p.m.) in the East Lounge in the Student Center
