Affinity Ceremonies FAQ
These celebrations are separate from CSUMB's Commencement and honor the accomplishments and experiences of CSUMB graduates from hxstorically underrepresented communities. The Affinity Ceremonies are open to all graduating students, but students must register in advance to the ceremony they would like to participate in. Graduates who take part in the Affinity Ceremonies receive a stole and certificate for completing their participation in the celebrations.
No. Participation is free and all graduating students can participate.
The deadline to sign up for any Affinity Ceremony is Sunday, April 6 at midnight. This deadline will not be extended.
Graduating CSUMB students may participate in any and all Affinity Ceremonies . To participate in a ceremony, graduates must sign up by the Sunday, April 6 deadline.
Each of the affinity stoles will only be passed out during their respective ceremony. Graduates must participate in the ceremony to receive their stole.
