Submit a Work Order
Experiencing a maintenance issue in your room or building? You can easily submit a work order through the MyHousing Portal. Just click the button below to get started.
For Residents (MyHousing Portal)
- Log in to the MyHousing Portal
- Start by clicking the link “LOGIN WITH YOUR CSUMB ACCOUNT”
- Then enter your:
- Username: Otter ID
- Password: Your CSUMB password
- Once you're logged in, click the menu icon (three white lines in the top left corner ☰) to open the navigation menu.
- Then click on:
- Work Order – My Space (for issues inside your room or suite)
- Work Order – Public Spaces (for issues in shared areas like hallways, kitchens, or laundry rooms)
- Complete the form:
- Room Category: Select "My Room" or the specific public space
- Category: Choose a general issue type (e.g., Plumbing, HVAC, Custodial, Pest Control)
- Item: Select the specific problem (e.g., Leaking Faucet, Lost Key)
- Description: Be as detailed as possible. Include what the issue is, when it started, and what happens.
- Photos: Upload up to 10 images to help explain the issue.
- Submit:
- Click Save or Save and Continue
Common Issue Categories
- General Access Issues (Keys, Card Access, Alarm Issues)
- Building Maintenance (Leaks, HVAC, Plumbing, Elevators)
- Building Exterior (Lights, Landscaping, Dumpsters)
- Pest Control (Insects, Wildlife)
