Inclusion, Diversity and Equity
The Office of Graduate Studies and Research is dedicated to recognizing and removing economic, race, and gender-based barriers to student and faculty success. We strive to provide excellent service to all faculty and students.
Diversity: The Dean and staff embrace and value individual differences (e.g., personality, learning styles, and life experiences) and group/social differences (e.g., race/ethnicity, class, gender, sexual orientation, country of origin, and ability as well as cultural, political, religious, or other affiliations).
Inclusion: We keep diversity in our minds and actions as we continue to better understand the complex ways in which individuals interact with our office and institutions, and how those interactions could influence student and faculty success.
Equity: Through targeted outreach and other actions, this office strives to increase opportunities for historically underrepresented populations to participate in graduate programs and research at CSUMB. We believe that access to these educational programs and resources is capable of closing the achievement gaps in student success, graduation, and careers.
