We are excited that you are about to become a fellow Otter, joining an amazingly involved and diverse community of over 7,500 students. Keep an eye out for a Tuesdays with Monte email, which is a weekly communication for new students that share many important resources, activities, action items and deadlines!
Transfer Orientation
Your one-day on-campus orientation will help you connect with campus resources, meet new peers and fellow classmates, hear from an Academic Advisor, and develop connections with fellow students, staff, and faculty. Select one date that is most convenient for you and your supporters, follow the steps outlined below.
- Confirm your enrollment online by December 6, 2024
- Register for Orientation with any guests
- Upload OtterCard photo
- Once you have paid your Enrollment Confirmation, check your personal email account for an email giving you access to our photo upload site. From there, you can upload the photo of your choice as your OtterCard photo.
- You will receive your OtterCard at your New Student Orientation.
- Submit transcripts to admissions
- Check out on-campus housing options and meal plans
- Connect with a Financial Aid Counselor
- Confirm your Enrollment and pay the $100 Enrollment Confirmation Fee.
- Your student account will be created 24-48 hours after you have paid the Enrollment Confirmation Fee.
- Login to MyRaft with the CSU Monterey Login button using your CSUMB username (e.g. mont1234) and password to register for a New Student Otter Orientation session.
- If you are unable to access your MyRaft account within 48 hours after paying your Enrollment Confirmation Fee, don't hesitate to get in touch with MyRaft for support.
- Only students who have confirmed their intent to enroll at CSUMB and have paid their enrollment confirmation fee, before July 31st, will be able to login and register. It will take 24-48 hours for your information to be added to the MyRaft system for you to be able to register for an orientation session. If you haven't confirmed yet and would like to, contact the Admissions Office.
- Spring 2025 orientation is mandatory and takes place on Saturday, January 18.
Guest Policy
Guests must be registered by their student in order to attend an orientation session. Payment of the guest fee is required prior to your orientation date. Refunds are permitted up to 2 weeks prior to the session date. Email your refund request and include your student’s name, date of payment and reason for the refund. Requests received within 2 weeks of a session will not be accepted.Please note that a processing fee is charged for each refund requested. Refunds can take from 2-3 weeks to post and are returned to the credit card on file. Fees are transferable to a different date if you select a different session, email for more information.Accommodations
CSUMB works to make events accessible for all. If you need assistance due to a disability to attend the events, please contact us via email or call 831-582-4693 at least 10 days prior to the event. Please include the type of assistance you are requesting in your message.
