Welcome to the RAFT!
Otter Days is a series of in-person and virtual events starting on Friday, August 20 for all new and returning students. Not only are the events fun, but you'll learn a lot about the school, make new friends that will help you have a successful start to the school year.

Take some time to meet with students from your academic college as well as have the opportunity to connect with your Deans, Faculty, and Department Chairs. This overall event includes the mixers from each of the 5 undergraduate academic colleges. Each college mixer will be at a different time, date, and location.
Parent and Family Reception

Welcome parents, families, and supporters of Otters! This reception on Move In Day is for you to come and be welcomed as the essential part of your student's journey that you are. Come receive some refreshments, hear from CSUMB's President, and a keynote address from the same speaker your students will hear from on the evening of Move In Day. Class Finding Tours

Are you new to campus and need to know where your classes will be? Meet an Orientation Leader at their chosen location to go on a class finding tour to make sure you know where you need to go when you start classes. Any student who has not been to campus before is welcome to attend, not just new students for Fall 2021! Masks and social distancing are required.

Beach Bike Rides

Join CSUMB Recreation for our beach bike ride sessions. Join recreation for a little tour of how to get from campus to the beach. We will take you on the best route to access the beach to campus. We will stop for a quick photo opportunity before heading back to campus. Bike, helmet, and two experienced leaders will be provided.

Escape Room 745 with Leadership Development

Solve a Challenging Mystery in Escape Room 745. The year is 1974. The city is Budapest. William Smith, a popular hotel reviewer, has gone missing from the Grand Hotel. A renowned detective took on the case, but he was found dead a short while later. There are seven hotel employees who are suspects. Was it the gardener, the bartender, the bellhop, or someone else? With a murderer on the loose, you and your team will need to act quickly to discover clues that can solve the case.

Join Recreation for our free Friday Mountain Bike Rides. You will get a free bike rental, helmet. We lead "No Drop Rides", which means that you will never be left behind, EVER. We will take you on a ride from the Otter Cycle Center to the Fort Ord National Monument only 1.5 miles away. With over 82 miles of trails, each ride will be different and tailored to the group's ability.
