Parking
Important note: We would feel awful if you got a ticket while visiting, so please purchase a parking permit.
- Follow Highway 101 south toward Salinas.
- Merge onto Highway 156 west toward the Monterey Peninsula.
- Highway 156 becomes Highway 1 south.
- Take Exit 406 onto Lightfighter Drive (CSU Monterey Bay main entrance). You will circle back over the highway onto Lightfighter Drive.
- At the third traffic signal, turn left onto General Jim Moore Blvd.
- Follow the signs to your desired campus location.
- Follow Highway 101 north to Salinas.
- Take the Monterey Peninsula exit (Sanborn Road). At the stop sign, turn right to go back under the highway.
- Sanborn Road will bend to the right and become Blanco Road.
- Remain on Blanco Road until it bends to the left and ends at a traffic light.
- At the light, turn right to merge onto Reservation Road.
- Turn left at the second traffic signal onto Imjin Road.
- Turn left again at the second traffic signal onto Abrams Drive.
- Wind through the CSUMB Housing area, then, when the road ends, turn right onto Inter-Garrison Road.
- Follow the signs to your desired campus location.
- Follow Highway 1 north.
- Take Exit 406 onto Lightfighter Drive (CSU Monterey Bay main entrance).
- At the third traffic signal, turn left onto General Jim Moore Blvd.
- Follow the signs to your desired campus location.
- Follow Highway 1 south.
- Take Exit 406 onto Lightfighter Drive (CSU Monterey Bay main entrance). You will circle back over the highway onto Lightfighter Drive.
- At the third traffic signal, turn left onto General Jim Moore Blvd.
- Follow the signs to your desired campus location.
By bus or train
Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) offers direct service between downtown Monterey and the CSUMB campus.
- Take MST Line 18 to the CSUMB Alumni & Visitor Center.
- Take MST Line 25 to the CSUMB Alumni & Visitor Center.

By air
- When you exit the airport's main entrance, turn right onto Highway 68 west.
- Follow 68 to Highway 1.
- Take Highway 1 north.
- Take Exit 406 onto Lightfighter Drive (CSU Monterey Bay main entrance).
- At the third traffic signal, turn left onto General Jim Moore Blvd.
- Follow the signs to your desired campus location.
