The Student Association of School Psychology (SASP) has partnered with Peacock Acres this holiday season to support our local community. SASP raised a total of $566, a little beyond their goal of $500! As a result, they were able to purchase gifts for fifteen foster youth. SASP delivered the gifts on December 12.

What is SASP?

The Student Association of School Psychology provides CSUMB graduate students in psychology a means to discuss issues that affect them professionally and academically. The organization strives to increase communication between cohorts and provide opportunities to nurture leadership skills. SASP holds a variety of social events each year to raise funds in support of diverse populations.

What is Peacock Acres?

Peacock Acres is a non-profit organization in Monterey County dedicated to providing services to foster youth and young adults who have experienced trauma. Since 1979, Peacock Acres has been assisting foster and former foster youth to recognize their value and place in the world. They offer four dynamic residential programs and provide youth and youth adults with consistent “family style” care.
