Primary communication method

The primary method of communication to employees and students is through their official university email. This includes both one-to-one and mass messages important to all faculty and staff. Official messages have a standard format recognizable to employees and will never ask you to enter personal information on a website other than

Emergency messages from the university will arrive via OtterAlerts, then our emergency webpage and Twitter.

Dashboard messages

Action-oriented announcements may appear as dashboard messages. CSUMB events and news articles can be featured on the dashboard as well.
