Pollinator Partnership (San Francisco Bay Area)

Position: Director of Major Gifts (Part-time)

Principal Responsibilities:

• Fundraise to meet 501(c)(3) nonprofit’s financial goals
• Build new donor relationships while maintaining ongoing ones, encouraging recurring and
planned-giving commitments
• Manage fundraising campaigns including newsletters, solicitations, and media campaigns
• Research, identify, and secure unrestricted grant opportunities
• Improve existing donor databases to streamline efficiencies and capitalize on investment
• Uphold branding and marketing themes to project a cohesive identify for the organization
• Manage and supervise development associate staff and interns
• Plan and execute fundraising events
• Provide plans, updates, and progress to the Board of Directors
• Report to directly to the Executive Director

Western Sky Produce (Salinas, CA)

Position: Accounting Manager

Responsibilities and duties include the following but are not limited to: 

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of Western Sky Produce, which includes:
    • Monthly, quarterly, and year-end processes (bank reconciliations, journal entries)
    • Management of accounts payable/receivable
    • Customer and vendor-related workflow tasks (passings, invoicing, credit memos, etc.)
    • General ledger management and auditing
    • Payroll processing and all general expense tracking
    • Weekly vendor payment processing
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Maintain organic certifications for all suppliers and coordinate audits with respective agencies
  • Point of contact for company healthcare benefits (medical, dental, vision)
  • Point of contact for company general liability insurance, vehicle insurance, and mobile devices

California Agricultural Leadership Foundation (Monterey, CA)

Position: Manager of Donor Relations

Responsibilities and duties include the following but are not limited to: 

  • Set fundraising goals, create plans to achieve these goals, and drive implementation, working in collaboration with the President & CEO, Executive Vice President, select board members and staff.
  • Develop and execute strategies to diversify CALF’s sources of support, including annual campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, and corporate support.
  • Effectively develop and manage donor relationships through the various stages of identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Strengthen relationships with past and current donors, ensuring appropriate, meaningful, and timely recognition of support.
  • Collaborate with and support the fundraising work of Alumni Class Liaisons

Position: Sales/Harvest Coordinator

Responsibilities and duties include the following but are not limited to: 

  • Work with customers and accounting to resolve deductions and to enforce payment terms with regards to both days paid and credit balances
  • Responsible for getting all product to market through various avenues; shipper/partners, direct sales, processors, freezers – minimize walk by
  • Manage daily harvest schedule and a set of Commodities daily; one offering of mixed, bunched, root, processing and plant.
  • Understand market information for various commodities across different grades and sizes and to manage pricing on open commodity sales
  • Exceed customer expectations; have great customer service skills both verbal and written in good times and in challenging times.

• Generation of recurring revenues from e-giving, donations, and overall increased parish donor participation.
